The puppies are four weeks old at this point – in another 2 ½ weeks they will be heading up to Rochester Michigan to Leader Dog for placement into Puppy Raiser homes. There, they will be socialized and be taught basic commands (“Park” which means go to the bathroom)) in preparation for eventual training to be come a Guide Dog.
While still puffy gobs of flesh – they are beginning to develop personalities. We have a couple whiners, a couple of people pleasers and a few jokesters. All in all they are progressing very nicely. Nearly all of them are paper trained and they are just starting to be weaned and eat puppy chow.
