Puppy Update!

Well - after a day and a half of labor - Siesta is doing just great! She did have two puppies still born though. The first was still born around 7:00 AM on Thursday morning - then, after five more hours of labor (and a hasty trip to the vet) an eighth and final pup was still born. It was very sad - but this why nature provides so many to the litter I guess. I am sure there will be more pictures in the coming days - so check back!

Here come the puppies

Labor started last night - so of course Lisa only got about an hour or so of sleep as Siesta paced back and forth - panting and contracting. I fared much better - sleeping for a couple of hours - waking here and there as Lisa checked on the dog and finally heading to work. That was around 5:45 AM - she went into full labor around 7:15 AM!
